Excuses excuses but it's true sha. Well it's been a loooooong week, it feels like Thursday and it's just Tuesday.

Anyways Happy Independence Day Ghana - More later

I bring Jay Kay: OK into the Bloglight today. He's been in the limelight for a while now, running for governor and all that but as I have joined his campaign, I have dedicated this post to him.

JIMI AGBAJE is a good/disciplined/ethical man and I am sure Lagos state will see substantial changes if he makes governor :o) Please read more about him here

Let me share his campaign videos first, watch them on YouTube:

(i) Who is the man....Jimi Agbaje Is The Man

(ii) Jimi Agbaje For Lagos State Governor 2007

I will upload his campaign jingles soon (nice yoruba music) for you to dance to :o)

His Slogan is - Caring. Thinking. Working. This depicts the type of man he is - an elect and well meaning public servant. He certainly fits the bill in and for Lagos State. Join his campaign @ www.jimiagbaje.com

Read his manifesto below:

Dear concerned citizen,

In the eight years ending May 2007, about Six Billion dollars, or two thirds of a trillion Naira (N600,000,000,000) would have been spent by the Lagos State Government.

My name is Jimi Agbaje, visit my website,
www.jimiagbaje.com, and find out how I would spend that sort of money. While on the website you can join in our campaign, and personally take the first step to make Lagos Work!

Alternatively join me, at an interactive session on a New Thinking for a New Lagos, at 4.00 pm at The Lagoon, Ozumba Mbadiwe, Victoria Island, Lagos on Sunday, the 4th of March, 2007. Alternatively watch me live on AIT at 4pm local Nigerian television and DSTV satellite television.

Jimi Agbaje

This post is intended to reach out to those youths in the so-called diaspora to make them aware of this campaign - Mona

Mona, is he the real deal? Don't know much about him though I've heard quite a number say he's able.

of all the candidates running for governor in lagos that I have heard speak, he seems the least vague. Whether he will be able to implement his plans is another thing entirely. Though like laspapi, I have heard good things about him.

Yeah Yeah let's not all fool ourselves...really JAYKAY!!!...

If one really follows the propaganda called Naija politics and most especially Lagos state…one can see that if the current powers that be @ the moment have a say…Barrister Babatunde Fashola(SAN) of AC (Action Congress) is the next governor of Lagos state-and to be honest Lagos deserves the best man and that is FASHOLA.

I think I better just chill for now on this note..cos I know a few of you will be after my head..so once all the insults and negativity has been posted I shall return and let’s say we will take it from there.

Don't even get me started about Koro…later sha

FASHOLA IS BOLA TINUBUS PUPPET.HE WILL DO NOTHING FOR LAGOS.

Dimples said...

Hmm!!!..Anonymous..puppet or no puppet the fact still remains that as shameful as this is to say...The place for Lagos state's governors seat is a two horse race...

FASHOLA for the powers that be and KORO if the market men/women, touts, and hoodlums of the state have anything to do with it….i mean have u seen any of this campaign rallies …na so so area boys and agberos full there.

Anonymous said...

Why should the race for lagos be a two man race?fashola has achieved nothing in his life and will only be giving bola tinunbu a third term in lagos.Dimples seems to belive that the title of SAN is well deserved, but i tell u,it is not.it was bought.

See me see trouble…anonymous did they send u to me ni…abi ur JAYKAY’s chid ni??
See I havn’t got anything against homie…infact one half of my family will be voting 4 him…I guess it’s an Ex-Greg’s college thing…but anyways all na yarns…

Fashola is a very intelligent man and a good lawyer if I let u know…yes he isn’t a Festus Keyamo that’s constantly in the news or quick to defend any tout out there all in the name of a defense lawyer…or the active type like Gani Fawehinmi ( a legend I might add!!)….na so dem dey buy SAN abi…infact point me in the direction of that market…cos me sef I don’t mind SAN @ teh

Achievements lets see..
•Bachelor of Laws, LL.B. (Hons),
•Called to the Nigerian Bar after completing with flying colours the Barrister-at-Law (B.L) degree
•His legal career of about one and a half decades of which he has worked in distinguished law firms across the country.
•Senior Advocate of Nigeria
•Chief of Staff to Lagos State Governor-he bought that post too abi Anonymous?
•He has recently been appointed as Honourable Commissioner in the Government of Lagos State. He is the first person to hold both offices simultaneously

And really as I am not on his campaign trail..i will sha stop here…cos if I was I’d be here all day.

…that’s just my own new =N=2 coin.

But sholly p u know wat u just yarned i story cos ppl can get credentials and any titles in Nigeria without any competency whatsoever so listing what he has been appointed us does not exactly count towards him - sorry!

Find some other criteria to use...jimi agbaje may not have all those titles but he is better for lagos and i can give u reasons why....even many peeps have said he is not as vague as the rest...fashola with all his titles and law stuff - what exactly has he proven apart from the number of titles/credentials he has?

Aramide said...

after all even in this jand, u can get ur bachelors with sum1 doin ur project and most of ur work for u - no be so?

Dimples said...

Mona are u trying to cast urself ni...
Nigeria in the 80's when Fashola and co...got their degrees people actually read themselves and didn't get "Toronto" type degrees..for crying out loud he went to UNIBEN.

Allow it VAGUE is what the voters in Lagos State want to hear...FASHOLA is an action man...backed by the Action Congress party..lol

I have been in legal practice for 7 years now and can say with all sense of truthfulness, that, as unfortunate as it is, Fashola did not merit conferment with the SAN rank. Like most things in Nigeria, even the SAn thing has been somewhat politicised. Jimi Agbaje is certainly the best man for the job. He is the only one who has taken the time to analyse the issues or even convince men and women of principle to vote for him. I am aware that people have contributed as little as N200 each to his campaign. At the heart of it, it is a campaign of the people for the people. Whereas other candidates are funding their campaigns straight from the state (or federal) coffers. Jimi Agbaje is the only candidate who can be said to be accountable to a wide range of people and professionals. People who have spent their time, money and sweat to ensure that their conviction and drive for Lagos to move forward yields fruit. It has from day one been a selfless rather than selfish campaign. We are simply sick of the filth, the thievery, the corruption, the decay. it is time for real change and Jay Kay is the man. But like I always say...a people deserve the government they get.

i just watched the debate on ltv between agbaje, gbaja and pedro. although i am a staunch gbajabiamilla fan, the reality from todays debate was pedro emerged the victorious. you could tell from the viewers' response.

agbaje is tbe second best candidate in the race, but to make matters worse, he goes and contradicts himself by endorsing buhari, and affiliates himself with political desperados in afenifere. he is a tool being used by afenifere. sadly that is his downfall.afenifere has no followership, just rent-a-crowds

that is his draw back. the whole godfather issue...

with regards to people contributing their widows mite to campaigns, my candidate gbajabiamilla does the same, adikwu bakare does the same, i dont know wat dat has to do with much...

the reality on ground is that jimi agbaje is setting himself up for another shot in four years. it is unlikely he will make much of an impact this year, especially with the support base of pedro koro and fashola

well i hope you saw last nights debate and agree wholeheartedly that Mr. Agbaje will be governor. Pedro had sought to ride on integrity votes but the truth emerged in the end! what a disgraceful outburst by Pedro. Even Fashola who received so many attacks during the debate demonstrated maturity in his exchanges with other candidates (this should not be read to be an endorsement of him, as he is a puppet and smacks of corruption)

My God Pedro was completely out of order. His showing confirmed my suspicion all along that he is not as clean as he makes out to be. But Good debater he is. He has crashed out of the race. Koro and Jimi Agbaje did well.

Anonymous said...

i agree

Anonymous said...

actually, i change my mind. from the debate, i think mr.pedro came out tops

Anonymous said...

it is disgraceful that someone i.e. the previous writer would pretend to be me. And I must say that if you are so passionate about Pedro why cant u just say so on your own terms instead of trying to stifle other peoples comments which they are perfectly entitled to! this is unbelievable, the lowest depths to which people will descend. Hardly democratic. I dont intend to visit this blog again. But just had to say I definitely did not post the comment at 5.16 pm allegedly changing my mind and saying Pedro came out on tops. Never in my right thinking mind could I have said so. this even goes beyond debates. It goes to lifestyle. It goes to credibility. It goes to a track record. It goes to sincerity. Each person, indeed each Lagosian is entitled to vote for the candidate of his or her choice. I have made my choice and others are and should be free to make theirs!

louis vuitton bags will surely look good on just about anything, and can be used from day till night while on a little get together party. This Monogram Vernis is in blue galactic, pink and sunset orange colors, which are both striking and stylish looking. Each of Monogram Watercolor carries a tag of $855, which is somewhat low-priced for such Patent leather handbag.
