Sound of Heaven

DStv and ONE Gospel recently hosted Nu Sound's Sound of Heaven Gospel event at the Muson Centre in Lagos, Nigeria. The incredibly successful event marked the first of many promotional partnerships between the Channel and the massive Nigerian Gospel industry.

J Factor Auditions

The 1st round of auditions were held this past weekend and the weekend before.The final round of auditions for entry is this coming Saturday, August2nd 2008. Nollywood: Games Men Play Reloaded and Where Oceans Touch Double Premier at The Civic Centre, July 13th

In the words of Emem Isong and Vivian Ejike, both top moviemakers and producers of the blockbusters entitled "When the heart lies" and "Games Men Play-Reloaded", the historic premiere took place in Lagos at The Civic Centre on Saturday the 13th of July with tickets at N10,000 each.

Imagine,two movies, sixteen super stars, one venue and one screen. This movie which stars Desmond Elliot, Ramsey Nuoah Jnr, Van Vicker, Monalisa Chinda, Ini Edo and a host of other stars was jointly produced by Emem Isong and Desmond Elliot. It's all about LV this year really. In case you haven't noticed, they've gone a bit haywire/OTT/Glam call it whatever but LV have now teamed up with Pharrell Williams for a new jewellery line - Blason. These items of fine jewellery are designed by Pharrell and Camille Miceli and the pieces range from $2,070 to a whopping $621,000 dollars.

Nollywood on TV:

Another thing going Haywire is on-Demand Nollywood TV. After the introduction of Africa Magic on DSTV (Nigeria & Other African Countries) a few years ago, came Nollywood TV (Channel 331 on Sky [UK&Europe], currently free but will soon be on-demand for subscribers). Similar channels have evolved even on the internet. Check out WoffaTV - just like any channel on TV but this one is online! You can also bookmark it.

Black Eyed Peas in Lagos

The pop group will be visting the motherland between September and November this year on a tour that will see them grace Nigeria, South Africa and 11 other countries thanks to a deal that the group signed with Pepsi. It will the first time they will visit Nigeria and the second time they have been to SA.
