Merry Christmas

Here's wishing you a very Merry Christmas from Naija to the Core!!

Seeing as there is a time and a season for everything, the time has now come for me to admit that blogging isn't the same as it used to be. As a result, I had thoughts of shutting it down but after a couple of conversations, I have decided to limit this to a monthly, lengthy post.

I look forward to interesting news and updates in 2009....

Hope you have had a lovely year so far and are looking forward to an even better new year.

Kanye Preps Book And Internet Search Engine

Before Kanye West launches his ‘Glow In the Dark' tour, which many estimate will be the year's highest-grossing tour, the rapper, producer and author will release a book and his own Google powered search engine.

While the book deal for Thank You and You're Welcome was confirmed as early as mid 2007, excerpts from the book of 'Kanye-isms' have now been released on Kanye's official blog at KanyeUniversecity.com. West, who co-wrote the book with fellow Chicago native J. Sakiya Sandifer, says it will be filled with 'creative humorous and insightful philosophies and sketches used in creating my path to success'.

On the digital front, West has also launched the Internet search engine searchwithkanyewest.com

Searches on the site will be powered by Google and Ask.com, but they will also give fans an opportunity to earn an online currency called 'Swag Bucks.' On The Great Debaters:

The Great Debaters (2007) is a film produced by Oprah Winfrey’s Harpo Productions. I have really been in the movie-watching mood all week and most of the Hollywood Blockbusters I want to see have not been released yet! So I have had to make do with about 2 Yoruba movies per night. Most have been really good, except for one - Omo Yahoo! I had to take it out of the dvd player sharpish before I threw the case at the TV - Crikey!
