A Strange Case of Bookaemia

Help! Help! SOMEBODY HELP ME! This multi-multi-tasking habit of mine is getting worse. I was looking at different blogs and my dear friends are reading "A" book each. But our dear Mona: 5 at a time!
What's more I've left everything for now cos I'm not in the reading mood this week!

I am currently reading the following:

Honestly, can somebody advise me please? It seems I have a very short attention span and get bored very easily so I just move on to the next book. As a result, I end up not finishing any of them. How do I stick to one? Commitment issues! Help!

p.s. It's the same for my tasks and to-do list, you really don't wanna know. People have lists of 101 things to do and they go through them, crossing stuff out but I do a couple and then jump to something totally different.

p.p.s. I don't normally lament on blogspot but I just had to! Check out other people's blogs and see why :o( they are all reading books and FINISHING them.

p.p.p.s. Imagine! Speaking of which, I actually LEFT what I was doing, unfinished (i.e. sorting out my files and bills) to come and write this, someone help!
HELP, HELP no honestly help. Advice pls!! Onada are you there?!

Update:
Funny after writing this, I'm inspired to just finish one now :o) maybe I needed to just let it all out or ACTUALLY motivate myself from within. I'll still appreciate any advice please.....

LOL!!! i think you should pick the one you are most interested in and hide the rest and make sure you dont go into any bookstore until youve finished the book and then you can move on to the next one. But then again...girl if a book is dry its dry men. I've been reading something borrowed for like a month now....i'm so not interested...but i've sworn i cant read any new books i've bought till i finally finish it......
meanwhile where is your own 101 list? LOL

Mona Im like u sometimes but im trying to stick to one at a time. What I do is I read the ones Im not so into first and leave the juicy looking ones to last so I have an incentive to finish the less exciting one first.

Stick to "This House has fallen"...I would say that's the only worthwhile book in that list!...but hey that's just an opinion...and yes I suffer from the same "attention span of a gnat" syndrome. It's a sign of the times ;)

The last book I read was 2years ago and since then I haven't even thought about reading another one talk of going to buy one. Is that bad? I dont know but I cant go out of my way to buy a book. The last book I bought was Memoirs of a Geisha and that was like 4-5 years back or maybe 3... I cant remember and that was because I was on a long transit at the airport. I normally pick from people's collections.

Right now, I am studying for my exams at the end of the year and next so no time for leisure materials.
