A lot of you have heard about the goings on at EFCC i.e. Ribadu being sent on "study-leave"....in other words, ejected.
I have a diary/account of the happenings from before his ejection to date in the form of stories from different newspapers (see below). What are your thoughts of Ribadu's "study-leave" and what does the future hold for corruption in Nigeria?
17th Jan, 2008 - London police raid Igbinedion's house (link)
17th Jan, 2008 - Ibori, wife convicted of theft 18 years ago - UK Police (link)
21st Jan, 2008 - Igbinedion returns - We'll arrest him - EFCC (link)
Nigeria - May God help us, amen.

maybe he overstepped his boundary or sumn
nice one mona
u really cover all areas
Yeah, Ribadu is no saint, but so far, he's the only one I've ever heard say "I'm ready to die for Nigeria".
The guy was fearless in his work at the EFCC.
Nigerians at the top just can't believe that they can do things outside the corrupt way. It's a real pity...
Ah, my blood pressure has risen many atime on this subject at various blogs and mine even. The whoel situation appears suspect, but all we can do is hope that EFCC will continue to focus on the anti-corruption crusade which is much needed for Nigeria's psyche and reputation.
Whoever heads the commission now will have large shoes to fill, but if he/she can net a few big fish, the spotlight and public support will be enough to keep the commission relevant and operating.
It's nice to see the various facets of you and your blog. I come here for entertainment but don't mind getting educated. Thanks for the links.
I can't comment much on the man. EFCC has never been cookie cut and even though it is recorded that he has done alot, you must know that to catch a thief, you have to think like one and maybe in some cases be like one....
naija sha! we take the phrase "more than meets the eye", to new heights....
